I got up at 4:30 in the morning, read a book, and went for an early swim.
I got to work around 7 and had some time to get ready for the day, which made me feel more relaxed.
There were no meetings outside the office today, and our team had lunch together.
It was one of those days when I could slow down a little.
Even though I stayed late at work, I felt like I gave it my all.
Unfortunately, my lower back started acting up in the afternoon and kept bothering me.
🌀 오늘 사용한 구동사 (Phrasal Verbs):
- get to (a place)
- 뜻: 어떤 장소에 도착하다
- 왜 사용했는지: “7시 정도 출근했다”는 내용을 자연스럽게 표현하기 위해 사용했어.
- 예문:
- I usually get to school by 8 AM.
- What time did you get to the party last night?
- slow down
- 뜻: 속도를 줄이다, 여유를 가지다
- 왜 사용했는지: “조금은 여유롭게 보낼 수 있는 날이었다”는 의미를 전달하기 위해 적절한 표현이야.
- 예문:

- 뜻: (몸이) 말썽을 부리다, 아프다
- 왜 사용했는지: 허리 통증이 생겼다는 상황을 자연스럽게 설명하기에 딱 맞는 표현이야.
- 예문:

- 뜻: 어떤 장소에 갔다는 뜻이야.
- 강조점: “어디에” 갔는지를 말하고 싶을 때 사용.
- 예문:

- She went to Paris last summer. (작년에 파리에 갔다)
✅ went for + 활동 / 목적 / 경험
- 뜻: 어떤 활동이나 목적을 위해 갔다는 뜻이야.
- 강조점: “왜” 갔는지를 강조할 때 사용.
- 예문:
- I went for a swim. (수영하러 갔다)
- We went for a walk after dinner. (산책하러 갔다)
- He went for a job interview. (면접 보러 갔다)
🔁 비교 예문:
- I went to the pool. → 장소에 갔다는 의미 (수영하러 갔는지는 모름)
